Rudersdal Kommune
Rudersdal Kommune uses the GPS button for staff safety, with the fire alarm connected to the same system and indoor positioning built so every unit knows which building an alarm came from.
Read the storyYour live location goes to the people you chose — and to the nearest ProTechMe users.
Free app on iOS and Android, listed under our parent company Linucare ApS. Location stays dormant outside alarms.

How it works
ProTechMe keeps escalating until someone reaches you.

The pressTwo firm presses on the safety button, or open the app. No call to make, no explaining, no unlocking your phone.

Tier 1 · Your peopleThe contacts you chose yourself get the alarm with your live location, and it breaks through silent and do-not-disturb.

Tier 2 · Nearest usersThe five nearest ProTechMe users are asked next. Whoever accepts sees your live location and is routed to you. Emergency services are the third tier, one tap away the whole time.
Honest note: the community fallback is densest in cities where ProTechMe is active today. Where the community is still growing, your alarm reaches your personal network, and you still have a one-tap call to your local emergency number.
ProTechMe is not a monitoring centre and does not replace the emergency services. We do not dispatch ambulances, police or fire services. In a life-threatening emergency, always call your local emergency number.

Most safety apps assume someone official will reach you in time. We don’t.
Your own response team — the contacts you chose, then the five nearest ProTechMe users. Everyone can send and receive: mutual protection, not one-way monitoring.
Alarms arrive as critical alerts on iOS and Android, so they break through silent and do-not-disturb. Your network always hears the call.
Helpers see your live location, their distance and a route to you, with two-way voice while the alarm is open. Location is shared only during an alarm.
ProTechMe is running in production, not on slide decks.
Active users
Women, students, commuters, shift and lone workers — and older adults too.
Buttons sold
Safety buttons in real hands, not units shipped to a warehouse.
Named deployments
Rudersdal Kommune, Filadelfia, Hamlet Factory, a clinic in Gandrup, and the Grundfos India pilot.
In production
Live since the app launched in January 2023 — not a prototype and not a pilot programme.
Figures as of August 2025. “Active users” means registered ProTechMe accounts, not people online at once, and “buttons sold” counts hardware bought, not units shipped to distributors. The community response tier is densest in the cities where ProTechMe has been running longest — the app itself works anywhere your own contacts can reach you.
