We use critical-alert push notifications on iOS and high-priority FCM on Android. Your contacts receive a full-screen alarm even with their phone silenced — the same channel emergency calls use.

The alarm does not stop at the first person. It goes to the contacts you chose first; if none of them responds it moves on to the nearest ProTechMe users, and it stays open the whole time — anyone who received it can still accept while it is running. If nobody responds at all, you still have a one-tap route to your local emergency number. There is no operator sitting on the other end whose job is to pick up: ProTechMe is not a monitoring centre, which is exactly why the alarm keeps widening instead of waiting on one person.

The BLE button pairs with your phone over Bluetooth at up to 50 m — it’s tiny, discreet, and rides on your phone’s connection, and it is the one to buy for yourself. The GPS button is standalone, with its own SIM and two-way voice, and it is sold to workplaces rather than to individuals: night shifts and lone work, restricted-phone production floors, patrols.
