What ProTechMe is, and what it isn't

ProTechMe is a community-based personal safety service. It helps you reach the people you trust quickly, and — as a fallback — the wider ProTechMe community. It is not a substitute for emergency services. If you face a life-threatening emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in India and EU; your local equivalent elsewhere).

Limits we're honest about

• We can't guarantee that anyone in your network will respond at any given moment. The alarm reaches them; the response is up to them.
• We can't guarantee that nearby ProTechMe users exist in every place at every time. The community fallback is densest where ProTechMe is active today.
• The service depends on your phone having battery, signal, and the necessary permissions. If any of those are missing, the alarm may not fire as expected.
• We can't guarantee response times — only that we'll deliver the alarm as fast as the network allows.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Don't share your account with another person — every adult should have their own. ProTechMe is not intended for use by anyone under 18.

The safety button

The safety button is sold as-is. We'll replace defective units within standard warranty terms. The button needs the ProTechMe app on a paired phone to send alarms — without that pairing, it's just a button.

Liability

ProTechMe is provided to help you; we can't accept liability for outcomes outside our control (response times of your network, the community, or emergency services). To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the safety button (or zero, for the free app).
